Often considered the highpoint of Navajo weaving artistry, this exhibition will take an in depth look at these masterpieces of design created over a 30 year period from 1840 to 1870. I think the weaving is beautiful but, like many other beautiful things, I am not sure that it would work with anything else in my life. I’m very impressed by the skill involved and appreciate it more for knowing a bit of the history and context behind it.
